Thinking of Visiting

Thinking of visiting Lighthouse Baptist Church? We realize that visiting a new church may be intimidating. Don't worry! We are confident you'll find us a friendly church and we'd be more than glad to see you visit.

When should I visit?

Our service times are listed on this page.

Should I "dress up"?

That's entirely up to you. You'll find many people attending the service prefer to dress up.

Where do my children go?

At every service we have a staffed nursery to care for the little ones. On Sunday mornings we offer a traditional morning service, where the children go to their own junior church class during the message.

So...What do I do in the service?

In the morning service, as well as in the Sunday evening service we have a time of congregational singing, specials, as well as other solo or group music. Of course, we always receive a message from the Bible.

Our Wednesday evening prayer meetings focus on prayer. In addition to congregational singing and a challenge form the Bible, a portion of the service is devoted to prayer, typically in small groups, before closing the service with another hymn.

Am I expected to put money in the offering plate?

We don't expect our visitors to put money in the offering plate. At most of our services, we do have an offering as an opportunity for our members and regular attenders to give to support the work of the church and missions. If you want to put something in the offering plate, feel free, but please feel just as free to let the plate pass on by.
